	The course consists of an overview of state of the art image acquisition techniques that are employed in medical practice and in biomedical research. The focus is on the physical principles of image acquisition. The techniques that are treated in the course are CT, MRI, (confocal) microscopy and OCT. The utilization of the techniques will be illustrated with examples from medical research practice.
